Vehicle | 2012 HCF 301 The HCF 301 is a two wheel scooter with two outboard, shock equipped "training wheels", one on each side of the rear driving wheel. |
Motor | unknown Brushless DC |
Controller | unknown Brushless DC |
Batteries | 1, 24.00 Volt, The original gel-cell battery pack provides a required ~25lb ballast under the rider's feet. The pack has two 12V 12.5lb gel-cells in it with a custom connector. We introduced a 24V LiFePO4 pack which improved performance, but required us to keep the gel-cell pack installed or the HCF-301 gets very tippy! |
System Voltage | 24 Volts |
Top Speed | 12 MPH (19 KPH) Not so great on hills with over 180lb rider, but on the flat this scooter gets up to 12mph. |
Range | 5 Miles ( 8 Kilometers) |
Curb Weight | 65 Pounds (29 Kilograms) |
Additional Features | Standard equipment: rear basket, side mirrors, horn, front light Optional: mini-towbar for small trailers. We used a custom HoverSeat trailer attached to the HCF 301 scooter as a maintenance vehicle at Maker Faires. |
With a "noseless" seat, this HCF 301 scooter is usable for up to a 6'3" 225lb rider. A Triad EV Association (TEVAnc.org) member Light EV (LEV). |
