I have my ELF posted on the EV-Album since 2001 now and I have received an overwhelming interest of viewers from all over the world. It became evident to me, that there is a big market for an electric vehicle with the performance and overall configuration of the Elf-Cab. But size of the original Aixam vehicle poses a big problem, foot room and low seating position is uncomfortable for anybody above 1,70. Also there should be more room to carry luggage. Since 2006 I have added a pickup board WebPage to the Elf-cab and this proved to be so practical, that it evolved into the idea to transform the ELF into a utility vehicle with a real truck-bed. And this is the final production version now. The higher and upright seating position is much more comfortable for big people. And there is also an interesting psychological side effect: since the driver sits above eye-level of the drivers of big limousines, he is more respected and more respect and better visibility translates into more safety in everyday traffic. The Rigid Glass-Steel Cabin and folding canvas top made by Mauser in Austria is available now. -------------------------------------------------------- I have decided to postpone first production run to early 2011. During thoroughly testing the 4kW DC and 6kW AC prototype, a new 10/15kW Sinusoidal Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor motor with very promising power and efficiency figures became available to me and this motor is under evaluation since January 2010 and is used for the newest Prototypes and first pre-production run of 8 vehicles. --------------------------------------------------------- First development phase was finished by february 2011. There are 2 prototypes in final testing in Vienna, Austria and 8 pre-series vehicles will arrive in Europe by April 2011. We start taking orders NOW.
