| Motor: The 'Siamese 8' is essentially two series-wound DC motors in tandem flipped head-to-head, combined into one 8 inch stretched housing. The dual armatures are pressed onto a single custom made extra long stainless steel shaft. Selectable operation of motor sections provides two configurations...(1) series-wired mode for massive launch torque, (2) parallel-wired mode for highest horsepower at higher rpms. The rear motor section is advanced 15 degrees and has the output shaft exiting out its com-brush end bell. The front motor section has adjustable brush timing from 0-15 degrees that is driven to 0 degrees during reverse operation, then returned to 15 degrees advanced for forward direction. The shaft extends out the front section's com-brush end bell to drive dual rpm sensors. Thick semi-circle shaped wrapped solid copper bus bars serve as the brush interconnect leads at both com ends, brush riggings are custom made and shaped to reduce arcing at high voltages, and high voltage insulation is employed at all key arc areas. Drivetrain: Racing aluminum drive shaft by 'Inland Empire Drivelines' *(special thanks)* Custom made Ford nine inch rear housing 'HD Street & Strip' and 31 spline racing axles by Dutchman Motorsports *(special thanks)* 'Strange' aluminum Ford 9 inch differential set up with 4:11 ring & pinion by Richmond Gear, and has a Detroit Locker. Best ET on lead acid pack 11.8 @ 109 mph! Best ET on A123 lithium ion pack 11.4 @ 114 mph! World's Quickest and Fastest 'Street Legal Electric Car' (in the 1/4 mile, per NEDRA) With the 175 lb. A123 lithium pack, the car's weight dropped to just 1855 lbs. (est.) and even with a tallish 3:70 gear set, 0-60 mph came in at a scathing 2.9 seconds!
