Additional FeaturesPlanning on mounting batteries under bed.. Tilt bed..
Just beginning project in April 2009.. Still researching components, batteries, etc. Thanks for any recommendations.
It's now May 9th and have accomplished quite a bit.. Everything is stripped out... mostly cleaned and painted.
Kinda slow but it's basically a one man operation... Buddy Fred did help pull the engine and tranny...see Fred pic.

Used spline from clutch plate to fabricate adaptor coupling. Local machine shop $120. My design...Picture to follow.

WarP9 Netgain motor arrived on Monday the 11th.. I have it coupled to the transmission, ready to install.

Waiting on extra leaf springs for the rear...truck is down now and I have to re-install the springs to be able to move it and get the drive train back together. Should happen in a day or two. Will report on how that goes.

I think I've finally figured how to hinge the bed for the tilt function... will try to get a couple pictures posted of that when I get it done... I haven't seen a clear picture of the hinge feature on any of the trucks featured here on evalbum.... Still open for suggestions------- Not sure how the bed tilts away from the bumper but I'm close, even if I have to trim an inch off the plastic bed section on this '97. The bed wraps under the bumper on each end, kinda tricky for me figure out.
May 16, 2009... Started the rear spring rebuild.. added an extra leaf next to the main spring. They're just cut from a junk yard main springs... simple to do; my cut-off saw made it easier. I have a couple pictures..
