Vehicle1999 Honda HR-V
2 door parquet jeep
MotorNetgain Warp 9 Series Wound DC
Motor is mounted onto mechanical 5 speed
gearbox without clutch.
Drivetrain4WD stripped to 2WD
Controller EVMS - integrated 100kW IGBT controller
It is my own designed 100kW IGBT
controller which is integrated together
with BMS and instruments system as a
whole Electric Vehicle Management

P.S. Kelly KDH14651B blew up in smoke
under 22kW load. After failure analysis
will never buy any controller from Kelly
Batteries45 Thunder Sky TS-LFP90AHA, 3.20 Volt, Lithium Iron Phosphate
System Voltage144 Volts
ChargerElcon 3kW 144V charger
This is 3kW charger with CAN interface. My
EVMS controls its charging algorithm via
CAN interface.
Heater6 x 1800W PTC ceramic heater elements
DC/DC ConverterMeanwell 600W 13.5V converter
Converter is integrated into EVMS and is
protected from water and dust.

P.S: Kelly 250W 13.5V converter blew up
as well. Not buying any DC/DC converter
from Kelly either.
Integrated BMS/instrumentation
microcontroller-based system. Will use
PDA to have nice custom LCD screen in
place of RPM meter showing RPM, bats,
temperatures, etc. Would like to have
graphics design to blend into car
interior style.
It should also do a safety monitoring of
main parameters and do emergency
shutdown if something weird starts to
Top Speed91 MPH (146 KPH)
So far tested speed is 145 km/h. But it
still has some reserve although I could
not fully test it yet.
Acceleration0-~40 mph (60 km/h) in 6 seconds
0-~60 mph (100 km/h) in 14 seconds

Tests showed 65kW peak power on wheels
Range43 Miles (69 Kilometers)
Achievable with a light foot
Watt Hours/Mile132 Wh/Mile
Approximate average without too many stop-
EV Miles
Start:68,145 Miles (109,645 Kilometers)
Current:70,085 Miles (112,766 Kilometers)
Total:1,940 Miles (3,121 Kilometers)
    As of 11/26/2010
Seating Capacity4 adults
Curb Weight2,750 Pounds (1,250 Kilograms)
Estimate as all components not yet
stripped off and new ones not weighted
Conversion Time2 years and 3 months
Conversion Cost$16k including donor (not counting my
countless hours of my own labour)

Also not counting the loss of money due
to blown Kelly products. As a result the
only working things remaining from Kelly
are 500A fuses, contactors and fans.
Additional FeaturesEVMS - Electric Vehicle Management System
During the project I have designed my own integrated motor
controller, BMS and driver instruments system (board
computer) which together is called EVMS.

The car is finished and registered on Oct 19,2010. Hooray!
