System Voltage | 60 Volts
Charger | Soneil 1214S 12V, 7A. Will have a total of 6 one for each battery (main pack+aux 12V bat).
Heater | No heater for the rider of course, would like to add heating for batteries thanks to the nice Michigan weather patterns...
Instrumentation | Stock, working on adding EV gages and custom embedded setup.
Top Speed | 55 MPH (88 KPH) 55 is the goal for the first conversion phase. Will change as gearing/motor/controller/battery choices change.
Acceleration | 0-30 in 4 seconds is the goal for the first phase. Again, will change as gearing/motor/controller/battery choices change.
Range | 25 Miles (40 Kilometers) 25 Miles 100% DOD the goal for the first phase. I only live 8 miles from work so I would like to at least allow for the return trip home if I can't get on site charging.
EV Miles |

Seating Capacity | 2 adults
Curb Weight | 450 Pounds (204 Kilograms) 450 Before Conversion with full tank of gas. Goal of no more than 550 after first conversion phase.
Tires | Stock, Need to be replaced though.
Conversion Time | So far just less than a month...
Conversion Cost | So far just $1,000 for the donor. Will update as phase one goes on.
Phase one will be a standard DC Setup(60V). I am shooting for a simple, cost effective setup for the first conversion. Still debating on what the second phase will be. May try a high performance DC setup but I am leaning towards an AC setup.... Third phase hopefully will be the addition of Lithium batteries! |
