Additional Features | I've kept a clutch in the setup but I replaced the massive 45lbs OEM flywheel with a 4.5" racing clutch/button flywheel for reducing the inertia to spin it up. Would likely leave the mechanical clutch out next conversion I do. Dec 2018 stripped out the clutch teeth. Removed the clutch and 3speed from the setup. Re-geared the 3.5 ratio 9" rear end to a lower 7.0 ratio for better torque. Easier for the wife to drive(no shifting) but were i to do it again i'd keep the transmission without a clutch. |
