Vehicle | 2010 mountain bike this is a Chinese mountain bike converted to electric. not an expensive bike but not the cheapest either... |
Motor | Brushless DC |
Drivetrain | WebPage />
this is the company I got the kit from. I am very happy with them and the kit... |
Batteries | 12, 0.00 Volt, Lithium-Polymer this kit included the batteries and a really nice mounting kit.. |
System Voltage | 36 Volts |
Instrumentation | three LEDs to let you know the battery is dead ... when the green one goes and you are on amber - get your butt home as when it only has the red light you are pedaling... |
Top Speed | 20 MPH (32 KPH) I was chasing the guy on my bike and had a tough time keeping up. very supprising ... |
Acceleration | amazingly good. not neck snapping but you can feel it ... |
Range | only know that we drove the thing for more than an hour and there was still plenty of battery left... |
Watt Hours/Mile | 360 Wh/Mile not sure about this really ... |
Seating Capacity | wa ha ha - I was showing it to a lady - taking turns riding - we ended up far so I rode her on the back ... it was great - two people easy - we cruised all around for about 15 minutes ... |
Curb Weight | 60 Pounds (27 Kilograms) maybe - not sure - it is damn heavy with motor and battery - I carry it up and down the stares to my appartment on the 2nd floor and it is a bear.... |
Tires | standard mountain bike tires - cheap... |
Conversion Time | now that I did it once I can say I could easily do this in a few hours ... the kit is awesome |
Conversion Cost | bike and all ... about 2500 rmb / 6.65 (conversion rate) = about $376 USD total ... can you do better in the states? I doubt it - and it would cost that to ship to you ... |
Additional Features | the kit came with a fantastic mouning kit that really makes the bike slick. the wires and battery are barely noticable. the kit included every thing - every nut and bolt and also new brake levers that have cutout switches built in - a nice feature. |
the guy in the picture is the customer I built this for ( a teacher in China) and he could not believe it barely altered the apperance of the bike and is very impressed with the performance. |
