MotorGolden Motors GM 1000W Brushless DC
GM 1000W changed to thicker phase wires
ControllerGolden Motors GM 1000W
Changed to thicker phase wires, phase connections. Added more solder to the PCB traces. Modified from 48V to 66V. original shunt shunted with 5cm of 12AWG wire.
Batteries100 A123 Systems 26650 M1 cells, 66.00 Volt, Lithium-Ion
Soldered my self to 20s5p configuration
System Voltage66 Volts
Charger SLA charger
I use modified SLA charger 150W. It used to be for 66V 12Ah or 5x12V SLA batteries. But I rised a little bit of voltage from 66V to 73.5V. And it charge to full ~73V which is for 20x3.6V.
Top Speed38 MPH (61 KPH)
24" rear wheel. On a the 1% slope hill, going downhill reached 41mph. Going pretty steep hill like 6% or even more, there are no problems to reach ~32mph without pedaling even from a dead start on the hill.
AccelerationPretty good. You can wheelie from start or going 5mph. But in short burst only cause the motor and controller heat up realy fast.
Range31 Miles (49 Kilometers)
Range is about 31miles going like ~20mph on various surface (road, forest).
Watt Hours/Mile21 Wh/Mile
