|Vehicle||1997 Saturn SL2|
|Motor||Advanced DC L91-4003 Series Wound DC|
|Batteries||15, 8.00 Volt, Lead-Acid, Flooded|
|System Voltage||120 Volts|
|Charger||K and W BC-20|
Not usable with 120 volt system. Anyone know where to get the LB-20 boost?
|DC/DC Converter||Zivan NG1|
This DC-DC converter was not adequate for a 108-volt system, so the pack voltage had to be increased to a minimum voltage of 120 for it to operate properly.
|Instrumentation||CURTIS INSTRUMENTS #900RB-108-BN (no longer operates correctly with new voltage)|
WESTBERG #A2C5-28...Voltmeter, 50-150 VDC (has never worked...)
WESTBERG #A2C6-30...Ammeter, 0-500 ADC
|Top Speed||55 MPH (88 KPH)|
Top speed was estimated by conversion kit company to be 85 mph. This could be possible, but I have turned down the controller so that it is safe for non-ev people to drive (valet mode).
|Acceleration||Surprisingly quick! The controller has since been tuned down for "valet mode". Now the acceleration is: eh... very, VERY slow|
|Range||25 Miles (40 Kilometers)|
Range was estimated by conversion kit company to be 55-60 with T-105. This was inaccurate because a usable range is much lower at speeds over 20 mph.
|Seating Capacity||5 adults|
|Curb Weight||2,400 Pounds (1,090 Kilograms)|
|Conversion Time||Started the conversion in 2006|
